The acrylic front face was fractured in two places, apparently because of bad workmanship during installation (of the acrylic, not the whole cabinet). When contacted, sfdisplay offered to send me a replacement piece of acrylic for me to install. It hasn't had time to arrive yet, so I don'tknow if the substitution will be successful.
Another reviewer commented on the adhesive paper which has to be stripped off both faces of the front panel. I agree that it's a pain in the neck, but the stated three hours is a severe exaggeration.
My other concern is that the three cabinets I've purchased previously had a somewhat convex back panel, so that when the shelves are in place the front door has to be forced shut.
The 3 hours I've spent peeling the protective film off of both sides of the door, has made me regret this purchase. The cabinet itself is of acceptable quality, however, using an acrylic vs glass door with a NON easy release protective film on BOTH sides, negates any "good purchase" feelings. Razor blades scratch the surface, all too easy. Warm soapy water and heat guns require so much time and delicate effort also negate any value-vibes. For nearly $300, this is a terrible display cabinet. Save your hard earned money and buy from local craftsmen.
I had been looking for a perfect display for my collectible playing cards for the longest why. Love these.I bought 8..
